Making invention contagious.
Young World Inventors (YWI) is a Boston-based media group. Our series of mini-docs inspires dialogue and triggers invention around the world– through the oldest form of learning: storytelling. Our first stories come from Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda, where inventors are addressing everyday problems of scarcity–in water, agriculture, energy, information, and jobs.
We’re gearing up to head back to East Africa this fall to show viewers the news from Jodie, Bernard, Cyrus, Henri, and Sam. At the same time, we’ll seek out new inventors and partnerships to tell more stories, as they happen.
In addition to online distribution, we plan to broadcast some stories through our partners at Kilimanjaro Film Institute, who have already reached an audience of 5M viewers in Tanzania. Together we aim to inspire a new generation of problem solvers, from village inventors who may not even read to an eco-artist who is mounting a show in Stockholm.
By building a robust global community that links audiences to inventors, and inventors to mentors and investors, we work to make invention contagious. Join us, and share our stories, to make an impact.
